Baby Shower

This weekend I hosted a baby shower for a lovely friend of mine and here are some ideas I thought worthy of sharing. Hope you like it!

These tightly wrapped onesies make for a lovely bouquet and centerpiece. I used chopsticks to stand them up and arrange them.

These lovely pom poms lined the center of the table adding a feel of festivity to a peaceful garden setting. The lollipops were simple but delicious favors and very easy to create. Cut 7" squares out of the desired color tissue paper, press a hole into the center with the stick of your lollipop, gather the paper at the top and tie a cute tie.

This is a very simple diaper cake compared to some that I have seen but very elegant still... as elegant as a diaper cake can be. For it's construction, I used a 10" cardboard cake base, rolled approximately 80 diapers individually and wrapped them with rubber bands, tied a strong tie around each layer and then some pretty crepe paper. Then I used dots of hot glue to attach each layer (it doesn't take much). I topped the cake with a rose but you could top it with anything you like... baby shoes, rattle, stuffed animal etc.
